When unexpected disasters strike—be it a burst pipe flooding your basement at 2 AM, the devastating aftermath of a fire, or newly discovered dangerous mold—the urgency and stress can feel overwhelming. Our mission is to eliminate the panic of finding reliable help.
RestoreNearMe was built to make that search shorter: somewhere to see which restoration companies operate in your area, what they say they do, and how to reach them, without a form that sells your details on. We cannot tell you which company is good. We can tell you who is out there, and be straight with you about what we do and do not know about them.
What we check, and what we don't
Plenty of directories imply they have screened every company on them. We would rather tell you exactly where our listings come from and what that is worth, so you know which questions are still yours to ask.
What we check
That the company has a working website and a phone number, and that the site belongs to the business we have listed in the city we have listed it in. Listings that fail this are removed, not hidden.
What we don't check
We do not confirm licences with state boards, we do not see anyone's insurance certificates, and we do not inspect anyone's work. Where a licence number or an IICRC certification appears on a listing, the company told us that — we have not confirmed it.
Reviews and ratings
We do not collect reviews and we do not display star ratings. If you see a rating on this site, tell us, because it should not be there. Check Google, the Better Business Bureau and your insurer's preferred-vendor list instead.
Before you hire
Ask for the licence number and check it with your state board. Ask for a current insurance certificate. Get the scope and price in writing. Ask your insurer whether they will cover the work. None of that is unusual, and a good company will not mind.
